Word from the Executive Director: Plans Underway for Holiday Candlelight Service

November 21, 2003

I am pleased to announce that plans are underway for our annual candlelight service to be held on December 13, 2003. This year we are pleased to announce that St. Justin’s Youth Choir directed by Margaret Sardagnola will be performing at this solemn occasion. This annual program has grown in popularity and has become a meaningful part of many families’ holiday traditions. Each of our chapels are decorated with Poinsettias for this special service. Families gather in our mausoleum buildings for this memorial tribute. This event is held for our mausoleum crypt and niche owners on an annual basis. Orders can be placed this year on our web site for wreathes and blankets, as well as poinsettias. This annual candlelight service has grown to be one of the largest memorial services held in the State of New Jersey.

Word from the Executive Director: Dover Township Planning Board approves building plans

November 14, 2003

I am pleased to announce that Planning Board approval from the Township of Dover was unanimously received at a hearing held on Monday, November 10, 2003. This approval comes after much engineering and planning in meeting all the requirements set forth by the State of New Jersey, as well as Dover Township. This building project should commence construction in the early spring of 2004 and be completed by year end. This two building project brings the total mausoleum crypts constructed at Ocean County Memorial Park above 10,000. This will be our twentieth and twenty-first building completed at our cemetery facility. It will feature a picturesque chapel area and will be climate controlled for the pleasure of those who come to pay their respect. The surrounding area will be gardenlike and add to the overall beauty of this project.

Word from the Executive Director: OCMP Announces New Web Site

November 03, 2003

I am pleased to announce the development of our new website. A great deal of time and effort has been extended to create this valuable tool. The ability to transfer information via the World Wide Web continues to have more and more meaningful applications. This new website offers numerous highlights including “E-ternity” a memorial tribute website that allows families to share memorial information concerning a loved one with friends across the world. We are also pleased to open our gift shop, “From the Heart,” which creates an avenue for families to express their love through various cemetery products. Ocean County Memorial Park over the years has served residents of Ocean County to the best of its ability concerning cemetery needs. We are proud of this accomplishment and hope that from the comforts of ones home or business this website will have lasting meaning.
