Word from the Executive Director: OCMP Update for December 28, 2005

December 28, 2005

I am pleased to announce that our 19th annual Candlelight Service was a very memorable event for all who attended. Approximately 1,200 people attended and participated in the service. Each of our chapel facilities were opened and decorated for the season which allowed people to pay respect to their loved one while participating in the Candlelight Service. We were pleased to have the choir from the Church of the Visitation, along with Reverend Doctor David M. Joynt of the Presbyterian Church of Toms River participate in this service. It has been a very rewarding experience for Ocean County Memorial Park to plan this event on an annual basis. We continue to improve the service and beautify our buildings for this special occasion. We will be offering special memorial features for next year’s 20th annual program which will enable families to create memorial pages in our program. We also anticipate completing our Waretown mausoleum by next September which would enable us to simulcast the service in our Waretown chapel as we expand our abilities to service families in southern Ocean County.

We continue to make good progress on our mausoleum construction in Waretown, New Jersey. We are nearing completion of the second building’s concrete work of this three building project. In the near future we will update photos of the construction progress online for all of you who are interested in viewing these. As we closeout the year 2005, we are thankful for being able to continue servicing the many families we met in the year. We look forward to the challenges that will come in the year 2006 and trust we will be able to meet the needs of the community. I wish to extend a happy and healthy New Year to all.

Word from the Executive Director: OCMP Update for December 5, 2005

I am pleased to announce we have completed construction of our mausoleum building in Toms River, New Jersey. The initial furnishings have been put in place and all names have been inscribed in the building. We are very pleased with this building project and plan on hosting an open house in the spring to celebrate this milestone. We have constructed over 10,000 mausoleum crypts in Toms River and are the largest cemetery in our marketplace.

We are also making significant progress on our Waretown mausoleum and chapel project. The concrete and steel work has been completed for one of the two mausoleum structures. Weather permitting the concrete will be completed in the spring of 2006. We anticipate completing the building by September 2006. The chapel facility should be operating in March 2006, at which time we will have fulltime staff on the premises. We are busy preparing for our annual candlelight service, which will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2005. This will mark our 19th holiday service.
