Word from the Executive Director: OCMP to launch Virtual Tours on Web Site

February 27, 2004

I am pleased to announce that our first website virtual tour will be available for viewing on our website within the next two weeks. Our staff is continuously looking for ways to enable those families we serve to benefit from our website. We plan to have virtual tours of our various mausoleum buildings and chapels, as well as selected ground areas of the cemetery. As construction commences for both our Toms River and Waretown project, pictures reflecting current construction stages will be posted on a routine basis. Additional efforts are currently under way to develop a PowerPoint presentation which will be available for distribution to families through our sales counselors. We are committed to providing the most up-to-date information as we continue to blend new technology with our ability to serve families throughout Ocean County.

Word from the Executive Director: First Waretown Mausoleum design to go before planning board

February 20, 2004

I am pleased to announce that we have received notice for our Planning Board hearing in Ocean Township (Waretown) for our new mausoleum complex. Our engineering submittals have been deemed complete and we are now moving to the next level with regard to approval of this project. We are optimistic of making a good presentation before the Planning Board and receiving approval for this mausoleum/chapel facility. This will be the first mausoleum building constructed in Waretown and the project is aesthetically pleasing to compliment the area. This project will be called our “Chapel of Eternal Memories” and should accommodate the needs of Waretown for many years to come.

Our office is also busy taking orders for Easter crosses which may be purchased online from our “From the Heart” gift shop or through the office.

Word from the Executive Director: Annual funeral director gathering a success

February 13, 2004

The annual Ocean County Memorial Park gathering for funeral directors was held on Wednesday, February 11, 2004. The event was well attended and is planned as an evening event where the staff of Ocean County Memorial Park is able to greet and thank the local funeral directors we work with throughout the year. Ideas are shared concerning additional ways the cemetery can assist the funeral directors to make the committal at Ocean County Memorial Park meaningful. We have, once again, been complimented for the brochures we provide for family members when a memorial service is held in our chapel. These brochures are customized to pay tribute to the deceased member of the family.

The event was well planned and was a pleasurable evening for all who attended. The new Waretown brochure was available for funeral directors. I would like to thank our entire staff for the work they did in planning and preparing for this event and making it a success.

Word from the Executive Director: New Brochure For Waretown Location Now Available

February 06, 2004

I am pleased to announce that our new brochure for our Waretown cemetery is now available for distribution. We believe this document is an excellent introduction into our plans and objectives for developing Ocean County Memorial Park at Waretown into a cemetery of equal stature of that of our Toms River location.

Our brochure touches on the history of Waretown and sets forth the plans for development of our Master Plan and Building Development Program. The brochure also describes the products we carry and services that we perform. Anyone interested in having a copy of this brochure should contact our office by phone, email or visit us in person.
