Word from the Executive Director: OCMP Update for April 30

April 30, 2004

We have been advised that all requirements necessary to advance towards our building permit have been received for the construction of our mausoleum building 12A & B in Toms River, New Jersey. We will be introducing a new line of niches in the chapel of this building which we believe are revolutionary in the industry and are customized to the individual needs of our customers.

The approval process for our Waretown mausoleum continues to advance. The finalization of the sewer system has been agreed upon and applications are being made to the township, county and state. Unfortunately these public agencies are allowed lengthy time spans to review applications which may add to delays in this project getting started.

The cemetery grounds are enjoying the benefits of a wet spring and the start of warm weather. The flowering trees are in full bloom, the grass is a vibrant green color and our grounds crew is in full force performing the new beautification programs we have for our 100 acres. Numerous improvements are scheduled for this year as we continue to maintain the beauty of the cemetery. The grounds of Ocean County Memorial Park are some of the most historic places in Toms River and Ocean County. Our maintenance program continues to enhance the beautification of these sacred grounds far beyond any other in our area. I would welcome you to visit our picturesque, serene cemeteries.

I am pleased to announce approval was received from the Dover Township Planning Board with regard to landscaping and architectural issues concerning our mausoleum building 12A and 12B in Toms River, New Jersey. This project has been well received by the Township of Dover and compliments were extended from the township with regard to the beautiful grounds and facilities we provide at Ocean County Memorial Park.

The Easter sunrise service in Toms River was well attended and a very meaningful event. I would like to extend thanks to everyone who purchased a memorial Easter decoration for the holiday.

Word from the Executive Director: OCMP Update for April 5

April 05, 2004

I am pleased to announce that we are currently clearing additional cemetery land at our Waretown Cemetery. This area will be devoted to ground memorial burials to offer those seeking memorials that are flush with the ground a suitable area in our cemetery.

We continue to make progress in both Toms River and Waretown with regard to our mausoleum building applications and we are optimistic of being in construction in Toms River by the end of April. We are currently coordinating the construction of chapel niches, as well as wall features that will be located in mausoleum building 12A & B at Toms River, New Jersey.

This spring time of year brings many activities for our grounds crew as they prepare for the summer months. The final orders for Easter crosses are being taken at this time.
