Word from the Executive Director: OCMP Update for April 18, 2005

April 18, 2005

Project Developments
Many of our spring projects have begun to unfold as we continue to improve the operations of Ocean County Memorial Park. A new parking area is being created that will expand the parking for our new mausoleum building and the surrounding area. Paving, curbing and other improvements will be made. Decorative banners have been ordered that will enhance the beauty of our mausoleum chapel in building 18-21. We are also contemplating the idea of allowing vases and memorial lights to be attached to the crypt fronts in the main chapel of building 18-21.

Internet Service
Recently, the installation of a new high-speed data line to our office was completed which will allow greater opportunities for us with regard to our website. More frequent updates on our various projects will be possible with our new high speed internet services, as well as improved service offerings.

Waretown Update
Our engineering firm has advised us the final sewer drawings will be presented today to Waretown which remains as the final hurdle to starting construction at this site. We remain optimistic that the mausoleum construction will begin this spring for this long awaited building. To all those who have purchased in our Waretown mausoleum, I greatly appreciate your patience and wish to reaffirm our commitment to this project.

April 01, 2005

We continue to make progress concerning our Waretown mausoleum project. All applications for construction have been submitted and we anticipate final approval from the town to commence construction. We anticipate beginning site work within the next few weeks and the contractors for this project stand ready to begin, as well.

Our Toms River project has reached a point where all concrete work is completed and the granite and marble has arrived from Italy and is at the jobsite. We anticipate the next step of roofing and stonework to move quickly.

Our Easter crosses program was received very well this year and many compliments were expressed. Our recent quarterly family remembrance service had approximately 150 people in attendance. Many compliments were received concerning this quarterly service remembering our loves ones.
