Word from the Executive Director: OCMP Update for April 24, 2007

April 24, 2007

I have received the final storm sewer drawings for our Waretown Mausoleum and will be requesting bids for the site work so that we may conclude the curbing, parking area and grounds around our new building in Waretown. We believe the wait we have experienced with regard to these revised site plan drawings was well worth the time and will add to the beauty of the cemetery for years to come. The interiors of our new mausoleum and chapel facility have been completed and we have started moving furniture into the facility. The chapel area will have approximately twelve pews and a matching lectern to facilitate memorial services held in the building. These solid oak features will stand the test of time and add great beauty to the building.

We have also commenced planning for our new mausoleum addition in Toms River which calls for a 1,200 mausoleum crypt building offering an open breeze chapel area, as well as an enclosed area as families may prefer. We are very excited with the addition design plans and are attempting to finalize pricing for this project. I anticipate commencing this project by entering into a construction contract in May of this year.

As the better weather has arrived, we have now started much of our grounds renovation work at the cemetery. We have also finished plans for a rock niche feature area at our ponds which we believe will offer a very distinctive alternative for families choosing cremation memorialization to honor their loved ones.
