Now that spring is in full bloom, the cemetery grounds are under our constant care with regard to lawn cutting and our beautification programs. We are in the process of planting our annual flowers and expanding our irrigation system to open up new areas so that our grounds remain green throughout the summer ahead. We are planning, in cooperation with the Ocean County American Legion, a Memorial Day presentation to be held on May 30, 2004. We hope to make this a special event by awarding certificates to all veterans of World War II in attendance at our service. These certificates of appreciation will be signed by the American Legion, as well as Ocean County Memorial Park in grateful thanks for all of the sacrifices of veterans.
The annual flag program will feature our Avenue of Flags which boasts the largest assembly of flags in one location in all of Ocean County. It is always an impressive sight to see the flags of our county flown in honor of all that have gone on before us. |
