Word from the Executive Director: OCMP Update for August 29, 2006

August 29, 2006

We have been very busy at Ocean County Memorial Park dealing with the extreme heat we have had in the past several weeks. We have introduced new cremation rocks at our Toms River location which will be placed around the pond areas. We have received a great deal of interest in this new product and believe with the increase in cremations we are experiencing, this will be well received. At the present time, I am reviewing pricing proposals for the construction of a new mausoleum building in Toms River which will compliment our recently completed building project.

A great deal of effort is being directed to our Waretown cemetery as we near the completion of our chapel/mausoleum project. We are approximately 95% completed and look forward to scheduling a building dedication ceremony in the near future. We are very pleased with the contractors we have had on this project and believe the end result will be even better than what we anticipated when we started this project. This building should serve the burials needs of southern Ocean County for decades to come and we believe really represents the modern cemetery with all of the modern technological advances available today. We anticipate creating family photo memorials which will be available whenever a family member comes to pay tribute to a loved one. This building will be fully air conditioned and heated with a full chapel facility with seating for 100 people. I will be announcing shortly the date for our dedication ceremony.
