I am pleased to report that we have received a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy for our Waretown mausoleum/chapel project. Several minor items remain outstanding, which have been scheduled, so that a final Certificate of Occupancy can be received. We are, at this time, coordinating transfers for those families that have been patiently waiting for the final resting place for their loved ones and greatly appreciate their understanding through this difficult construction process. I believe this to be our finest mausoleum building and know it will stand the test of time for years to come. I would like to extend my greatest appreciation to our entire staff for all of their hard work during this process. We will be scheduling and announcing an open house for families and funeral directors that have been involved with this project in the early spring.
We have finalized all of our planning and drawings for our mausoleum addition project in Toms River. We anticipate submitting documents for township approval by mid-March and will monitor this project on a daily basis so that approval from the town can be received as rapidly as possible. We anticipate starting construction as soon as township approval can be obtained and look forward to this project. We have also commenced plans in Toms River for renovation to our irrigation system that services the majority of the cemetery grounds. A new design has been developed and will be implemented within the next few weeks as we attempt to start this project. We are one of the few cemeteries in the State of New Jersey that has such a large percentage of our cemetery serviced by a ground irrigation system. We have operated the existing system for well over 20 years and believe this renovation project will be a great benefit to the cemetery for many years to come.
